Delete Your ClickChat Account
This page explains how to delete your ClickChat account and the personal data associated with it.
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the ClickChat app on your device
- Sign in to your account
- Go to Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and associated data will be removed from our servers immediately after confirmation.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app (for example, you uninstalled it), you can request account deletion by email.
Send an email to: appclickchat@gmail.com
Subject: Account Deletion Request
Please include in the email:
- The phone number associated with your ClickChat account
- Your display name in the app (if you remember it)
- A short statement confirming you want your account and data deleted
We will verify the request and process the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
What data will be deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your account credentials and Firebase UID
- Your profile information (display name, profile photo)
- Your chat messages
- Voice recordings and photos you sent in chats
- Your friends list
- Push notification tokens
- Subscription records associated with your account
What data may be retained
For legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons, we may retain a limited amount of information for a short period after deletion:
- Anonymized server logs (typically retained for up to 90 days)
- Records required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes
- Subscription/billing records required by Google Play and applicable tax law
Messages you sent to other users may remain visible to those users in their own chat history, since the data was already delivered to them.
