Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the ClickChat mobile app and the ClickChat website, including its browser chat trial (together referred to as the "Application"), created by ClickChat (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you access, download, or use it. This information may include information such as:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The operating system, browser, and device type you use
- Crash logs and diagnostic information
- Website performance measurements, including loading time (LCP), interaction responsiveness (INP), and visual stability (CLS)
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The website uses Microsoft Azure Application Insights for page analytics, chat lifecycle counts, and performance measurements. Our chat lifecycle and performance events do not include message text, drafts, nicknames, account UIDs, or room IDs. Performance events contain numeric measurements, a clean page path without query parameters or fragments, a coarse viewport-size category, and a randomly generated metric-instance identifier used to combine updates to the same measurement. We do not send DOM elements, element selectors, or interaction contents in these performance events. A bounded in-memory buffer may hold these events while analytics loads; it is not stored as chat history.
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.
The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
- Email address — for account creation and authentication
- Phone number — for account creation and authentication (if used)
- Profile photos — uploaded by you to your profile
- Voice recordings (audio) — recorded only when you tap the record button to send a voice message
- User identifier (UID) — a unique account ID assigned by Firebase Authentication
- User-generated content — chat messages, photos, and voice recordings you send to other users
- Browser trial state — the anonymous account, nickname, device identifier, and server-side records of matched trial chats used to operate and limit the website chat trial. The server also uses the connection's IP address to enforce a shared limit of ten distinct trial chat rooms per IP in a rolling 24-hour window, in addition to ten lifetime chats per guest account. This shared limit may affect different guests on the same network. The quota window is not a promise that all associated account or service records are deleted after 24 hours.
- Push notification token — provided by Firebase Cloud Messaging so the Application can deliver notifications
- Subscription and purchase status — managed via RevenueCat and Google Play Billing
The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.
How Your Data Is Shared in the Application
ClickChat is a chat application. Messages, photos, and voice recordings you send during chats are visible to your chat partner(s). Your display name and profile photo are visible to other users you interact with. Do not share information you would not want another user to see.
Where Your Data Is Stored
The Application transmits user-provided data to third-party services for the purposes of authentication, real-time messaging, crash reporting, push notifications, subscription management, and data storage. Specifically:
- Account credentials and identifiers are managed by Firebase Authentication (Google).
- Chat messages, friend lists, and user profile data are stored in Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB.
- Profile photos and chat media (including voice recordings) are stored in Microsoft Azure Blob Storage.
- Crash and diagnostic data is sent to Firebase Crashlytics.
- Website usage and performance telemetry is processed by Microsoft Azure Application Insights.
- Push notification tokens are processed via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat.
Third Party Access
The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies regarding the handling of data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policies of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
- Google Play Services
- Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Analytics)
- Firebase Crashlytics
- RevenueCat
- Microsoft Azure
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account and associated data directly within the Application:
- Open the ClickChat app
- Go to Settings
- Select "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion
Users of the browser chat trial can request deletion by emailing the Service Provider at the address below and providing the nickname and approximate date of use.
When you delete your account, the Service Provider will remove your profile information, messages, photos, voice recordings, and other associated data from their servers within a reasonable timeframe. Some information may be retained for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution).
If you are unable to delete your account through the Application, you may also request deletion by emailing the Service Provider at appclickchat@gmail.com.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop collection by uninstalling the mobile Application or by leaving the Website and clearing its site data in your browser. These actions do not automatically delete account data from the Service Provider's servers — please use the account-deletion options described above to request removal.
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you delete your account, your data will be removed as described in the Account Deletion section. If you would like the Service Provider to delete data outside of the in-app deletion flow, please contact them at appclickchat@gmail.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.
Children & Child Safety Standards (CSAE)
The Application is intended for users aged 18 and older only. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from, market to, or collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If the Service Provider discovers that a minor has provided personal information, it will delete that information and close the account. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has used the Application, please contact the Service Provider at appclickchat@gmail.com.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). ClickChat strictly prohibits any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or conduct that exploits or endangers a minor — including grooming, solicitation, sextortion, and the sexualization of a minor. Upon obtaining actual knowledge of such content, we remove it, block and report the responsible user, and report confirmed CSAM to the appropriate authorities — including the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the relevant regional authority — as required by law. We cooperate fully with law enforcement.
How to report: Use the report button available in the mobile app or browser chat and select the "child safety / exploitation of a minor" reason, or contact our designated child-safety point of contact at appclickchat@gmail.com. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement.
Content Moderation & Administrator Access
ClickChat is operated with a team of human administrators and moderators, alongside automated tools, to keep the community safe and respectful. By using the Application you acknowledge and agree that:
- Our staff (authorized administrators and moderators) may access, view, review, and monitor content you send in the Application — including messages, photos, and voice recordings.
- This applies to all conversation spaces: random chats, friend chats, and all rooms — including private, closed, or restricted-access rooms. The fact that a room is private or closed does not prevent our staff from accessing and moderating its content.
- We may remove, hide, edit, or change any content that does not fit the app's culture and community rules, that is harassing, abusive, or inappropriate, or that violates our Terms of Service — at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice.
- Following a content review we may warn, mute, remove from a room, suspend, or close the account of a user who breaks the rules.
- Because moderation is performed in part by humans, a member of our staff may read or view content you send, including in closed rooms. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Please do not share sensitive information you would not want our staff to see.
Staff access to content is limited to the purposes of moderation, safety, handling reports, enforcing community rules, and complying with legal obligations.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information they process and maintain. Data transmitted between the Application and the Service Provider's servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS / TLS.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-09-26.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended in the future.

If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about the practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at appclickchat@gmail.com.
